Natural Remedies In Eliminating Swollen Gums
Numerous bacteria are making the mouth their niche, thus plaque are being formed. Sometimes brushing and flossing are not enough and gingivitis still takes its toll. Because plaque are being formed, it produces acids and toxins which are responsible for gum inflammation and infection resulting to swollen gums and other forms of gum disease.
Unfortunately, commercial toothpastes and mouthwash that we believed to be preventing us from bacteria causing gum infection are potential factors that invites bacteria build up. Active ingredients may contain chemicals that can further damage the tooth and the gums. As a reaction to such active ingredients, swollen gums and bleeding gums are the result to its reaction. Alcohol is frequently included in dental care products, and it dries out the mouth limiting saliva production. Saliva is the natural defense of the mouth against bacteria. Using commercial oral care products paves way to gum irritation as well as gum disease. However, there are natural oral care products that prevents bacteria without having its harmful effects. Salt and warm water can be an effective mouth wash remedy.
